Description

Ferrarium 1500 predatory mites to control spider mites, sciarid flies, thrips, shore flies and duponchelia.
This ferrarium 1500 predatory mites contains eggs, nymphs and adults of the soil predatory mite Stratiolaelaps scimitus (formerly known as Hypoaspis miles). Stratiolaelaps is a soil predatory mite found almost everywhere. Huge numbers can be reached especially in places with plenty of food (Sciara larvae). The soil predatory mite controls larvae of the sciarid fly, pupating thrips larvae and eggs of the moth Duponchelia fovealis. The predatory mite is an important link in the foundation of integrated pest management in both vegetable and ornamental/room plants. Because Stratiolaelaps scimitus predatory mites have many different soil organisms on their menu, they can survive in almost any crop. Against shore fly (Scatella), the predatory beetle Atheta coriaria can be used in addition to Stratiolaelaps. In extreme cases, Stratiolaelaps scimitus can go without food for 7 weeks.

Use

These predatory mites are for indoor use.

• Scatter the predatory mites at the pests such as: spider mites, fungus gnats, thrips, shore flies and duponchelia and two meters in front of and behind the pests.
• Sprinkle them directly on the leaves or work with coffee filter bags that you hang on the plants.
• Repeat after two weeks if necessary.

Return of predatory mites is not allowed. These items cannot be returned because they are items with a limited shelf life. Buy the product when you need it. It has a shelf life of only 10 days in the package.
